Duane D. “Skeeter” Wiedemann, of Route 39, Sardinia, died Thursday July 3, 2014 in Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo at the age of 67. He was born January 16, 1947 in Springville, New York a son of the late Wayne and Alice M. (nee Nason) Wiedemann. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-71. He was a customer service representative at Fisher Price in East Aurora. He is survived by his siblings – Nina (John) Kupciunas of Gloversville, Bonnie VanOcker of Sardinia, David (Jeanne) Wiedemann of Machias, Wayne (Colleen) Wiedemann of Freedom, Gordon (Stacy) Wiedemann of Gloversville, Paul (Jean) Wiedemann of Sardinia, Mark (Maria) Wiedemann of Machias; a brother-in-law – Mark Schweickert of Chaffee and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father who died in 1976; his mother who died in 2004; two brothers – Richard Wiedemann who died in 1964 and Theodore Wiedemann who died in 2009 and a sister – Cheryl Schweickert who died in 2014.
