Lucille Drake of W. Main St., Arcade died Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home in Springville at the age of 94. She was born May 9, 1920 in Protection, NY a daughter to the late Milford and Gertrude (Day) Fischer. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Wyoming County and New York State Retired Teacher’s Association as well as the Delta Kappa Gamma Society. She was also an active member of the First Baptist Church in Arcade since 1942. She was a graduate of Delevan Central. She also had her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Home Economics from State University College in Buffalo. She was a Home Economics educator and county extension agent for 30 years. She was employed at Sardinia High School, Arcade Central, Holland Central and the Wyoming County Extension Service. Her husband, Charles Marcena Drake who she married April 4, 1942 in Protection, NY passed away in 1986. She is survived by her children: Milford “Mick” (Christine) Drake of Arcade and Donna (Fred) Warner of Arcade; also survived by six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, four nieces and nine nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home Therapy & Activities Fund, 222 E. Michael Douglas Satchell of East Arcade Rd., Arcade died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo at the age of 64. He was born September 4, 1950 in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, son of Donald Satchell of Florida and the late Evelyn (Mitchell) Satchell. He was an Elder at the Arcade Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Chaffee, NY. He was employed by Truck Load Carriers of Tonawanda in Buffalo as a truck driver. Prior to being a truck driver he was employed at the Arcade Highway Department. He is survived by his father; his wife: Diana (Kloss) Satchell whom he married August 21, 1971 in Pendleton, NY; his children: Jason Michael (Lorna) Satchell of Arcade and Rebekah (Jairo) Pichardo of Arcade; his siblings: Penny Zielinski of Florida, Matthew (Diane) Satchell of Florida and Michelle Mitchell of Florida; also survived by his granddaughter – Adrianna Pichardo and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and his brother – Joseph Satchell.

Patricia A. Morgan of Douglas Drive, Arcade died April 28, 2015 at the Bertrand – Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 85. She was born November 4, 1929 in Freedom a daughter to the late Clyde and Erma (Morgan) Taylor. She enjoyed bingo, baseball, football, horse pulls and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was employed at Fisher Price in Holland as an operator where she retired from in 1990 when Fisher Price closed. Her husband, Lewis Morgan who she married in 1946 in Freedom passed away May 27, 1974. She is survived by her children: Gary (Ruth) Morgan of Sandusky, Roy (Donna) Morgan of Freedom, Donna (Robert) Martin of Freedom, Rick (Tammy) Morgan of Delevan, and Lewis John (Teresa) Morgan Jr. of Arcade; her sisters: Jeanne Lounsbury of Freedom and Phyllis Smith of Greenville, PA; also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Joseph Pulaski Sr., of Savage Rd., Chaffee died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Buffalo General Hospital at the age of 81. He was born February 7, 1934 in Tonawanda, NY a son to the late Andrew and Anna (Orzula) Pulaski Sr. He was a member of St. Jude’s Church in Sardinia, NY and was a United States Navy Korean War Veteran who served from 1952-1956. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a sports enthusiast. He was the owner and operator of Joseph Pulaski Construction in Varysburg, NY. He is survived by his wife: Norine (Klinshaw) Pulaski whom he married April 11, 1959 in West Seneca; his children: Theresa (Jeff Wiepert) Pulaski of Wilson, NY, Joanne (Robert) Gannon of Hamburg, Joseph (Georgia) Pulaski Jr. of Waxhaw, NC, Casimir (tracy) Pulaski of Orchard Park, and Diane (Tim) Price of Java Center; his siblings: Irene Urbanski of Cheektowaga and Stanley (Lottie) Pulaski of Lancaster; also survived by 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was born September 16, 1959 in Richmond, VA, a son to the late Willie and Shirley (Drumheller) Glass. He was a United States Navy veteran who served from 1982-1987. He was also a member of the Moose Club in Richmond, VA. He was very hi-tech and enjoyed computers and technology. He was a self-employed machinist and had also worked at Koike-Aronson in Arcade. He is survived by his wife – Anna (Dunmyer) Glass whom he married August 2, 1997 in Machias; his step-children: Quorry France of Machias, Shawn France of Lackawanna and Brandy Evertzs of San Gabriel, CA; also survived by his sister – Sharri (Jonathan) Balderson of Sandston, VA, six grandchildren and three nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Karl W. Lynch of Stinson Rd., Arcade died Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 84. He was born September 12, 1930 in Buffalo, NY, a son to the late Roy and Edna (Schwenker) Lynch. He was a member of the Arcade United Methodist Church and was a United States Navy veteran who served from 1951-1955. He was a Seneca High School Graduate and received both his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from Buffalo State College. He was an industrial arts school teacher at Riverside High School in Buffalo where he retired in 1987. He is survived by his wife: Jean A. (Hippchen) Lynch whom he married August 29, 1959 in Buffalo; his children: Robert (Jennifer) Lynch of Williamsville and Karen Mann of Sardinia; his sister: Louise Goodier of West Seneca; also survived by four grandchildren: Elizabeth Mann, Scott Mann, Natalie Lynch and Jeremy Lynch; several nieces and nephews. Troy A. Lester, of Route 39, Arcade died Thursday May 7, 2015 at his home at the age of 44. He was born March 15, 1971 in Hampton, VA a son of James and Susan (nee Wilson) Lester. He was a graduate of Pioneer High School and received a Masters degree in American Studies from the University of Buffalo. He had been a creative writing teacher at G.C.C. in Arcade. He loved animals, enjoyed time spent at Beaver Meadow, was an avid outdoors person and enjoyed reading and writing. He is survived by his parents – James and Susan Lester of Arcade; two brothers – Todd (Heather) Lester of Arcade; Brian Lester of Bliss; two nieces and two nephews. Griffin and Virginia A. (Wilson) Griffin. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Franklinville. He was also a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. He was an electrician for Johnson & Johnson in New Jersey. He had also owned and operated Eddie Electric in Franklinville for six years. His first wife, Ruth Ann (Nourse) Griffin whom he married May 9, 1965 in Otisville, NY, passed away in 1994. His second wife, Lucille V. (Siclari) Griffin whom he married January 7, 1995 in Franklinville passed away in 2012. He is survived by his children: James (Christine) Griffin of Lafayette, LA and Cheryl (David) Guerard of Shelby, NC; his step-children: Jeffrey (Nicole) Kirchmeyer of Java, Brenda (Lary) Bray of Warsaw, Pam (Kevin) Tilton of Franklinville, Rhonda (Geoff) Smith of Arcade and Greg (Jennifer) Thomas of Walnut Port, PA; also survived by 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ellen J. Neamon of Southview Drive, Arcade died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 95. She was born October 24, 1919 in Caneadea, NY a daughter to the late Glenn and Nellie (Smith) Talbot. She was a very active member of the Arcade United Methodist Church and a volunteer with HomeCare & Hospice. She was a Fillmore High School graduate. She graduated from Fredonia State University with her Bachelor’s degree and later finished her Master’s degree at Buffalo State College. She was a Pioneer Central elementary grade school teacher until her retirement in 1979. Her husband, Robert Neamon who she married December 22, 1945 in Fillmore, passed away in 1989. She is survived by her children: David (Patricia) Neamon of Arcade, Denise (Nicholas) Petrakis of Rochester and Darla (late Gary) Schwab of Delevan; her sister: Grace Knibloe of Fillmore; her grandchildren: David L. (Denise) Neamon, Benjamin Petrakis, Heather (David) DeCarlo, Holly (Patrick) McLean, Jason (Tara) Schwab, and Kimberly (Peter) Boldt; also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jane Duke-Hurlburt of North Ave., Hopewell, VA died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at her residence at the age of 91. She was born May 24, 1924 in Camden, AL a daughter to the late Dr. Warren C. Duke and Mae Elizabeth (Williams) Duke. Jane was a member of Camden United Methodist Church in Camden, AL and was an affiliate member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Richmond, VA. In 2012, she was presented a life membership in the United Methodist Women by Ginter Park United Methodist Church in Richmond, VA Jane was active in numerous service and fraternal organizations throughout her life. She was a charter member of the Eagle Memorial Post of the American Legion Auxiliary in Bliss, NY serving as President at the local and county levels. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of the State of New York for over 50 years and held many chapter offices including Worthy Matron of chapters in Bergen and Castile, NY. In 1973, Jane served as the District Deputy Grand Matron of the Genesee-Wyoming District. Over the last few years, she was a member of Stebbins Chapter in Pike, NY. Jane was an amazing seamstress, crocheter, and knitter. She was best known for her hand-knitted Christmas stockings. She knitted hundreds of them over the past three decades for family, friends, and as church fundraisers. She was an admissions clerk for Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw and the secretary for Camden United Methodist Church. Jane is survived by her one true love and husband, Russell who she married August 15, 1946 and again on July 7, 2012; her six children: Beth, Marti, David (Kari), Kirk, Nancy (Vic), Justine (Richard); three grandchildren: Sean, Kassi and Julia O’Sarah; a great-grandson: Brayden; her brother: James (Claire); her sister-in-law: Marian; also survived by six nieces, eight nephews, and a multitude of loving friends in Alabama, New York, Virginia, across the country and around the world. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Blanche (John) Gates; five brothers: Dashwood, Warren, William Alexander, Kirk, Charles and their wives; also preceded by two brothers who died in infancy; her father and mother-in-law: Frank and Margaret Hurlburt; a brother-in-law: Frank Oliver; and a sister-in-law: Hildy (Raymond) Kavanaugh. She enjoyed going to the casino, crocheting, pottery and ceramics, and knitting. She was a factory worker for General Electric in Buffalo. She is survived by her husband: Norman “Roman” Dobosz who she married November 40, 2001; her children: Glen (Ellie) Federico of Freedom, Dale (Mary) Federico of Amherst, Deborah (James) Lockwood of Franklinville, Alan (Kate) Federico of Holland, Ted (Ann) Dobosz of Arab, AL, Amy (Gary) Davies of Arab, AL, John (Melissa) Dobosz of Machias, and Holly (Joseph) Wright of Freedom; also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband: Philip J. Federico who she married June 5, 1954 in Buffalo. He passed away August 27, 1996.
